"In celebration of Rumsey's Book Fest '17, lively book discussions abounded throughout Rumsey's campus on Tuesday, April 4th. All Lower School students and over 200 Upper School students joined book clubs. Thirty-seven different book clubs met for discussions and countless clever activities that had students talking, creating and moving in a variety of ways. The Real Cowboys group learned how to lasso. Many groups enjoyed culinary treats inspired by their book. The Princess Bride group made character cubes while discussing the story. Flying Lessons worked in the Innovation Lab, where they wrote special quotes on paper airplanes, and hung them in the library. The Harry Potter and the Cursed Child club traveled off campus, tasted butterbeer and made folded snitches out of origami paper. The Round House club deciphered a phrase in Native American code as they examined this book's incredible writing. Another club made milkshakes as they talked about The Girl Who Drank the Moon.
All book club choices are displayed in the library and will get checked out as students and teachers continue to discuss the wide range of books they read for Rumsey Hall's 4th Annual Book Fest."
